Off-road Club Ride to Southease YHA

Meet at 9:00am outside Boots, Lewes at the entrance to Lewes shopping precinct.
There is free car parking at the nearby Tesco.
Estimated 2-3 hour ride with 90% off-road.
Suitable for all mountain bikes, cyclocross (32mm tyres and above) and gravel bikes. If you have slick tyres on a gravel bike or mtb, you may prefer to ride something more grippy as the terrain is varied.
Ride up to Blackcap, over to Falmer and up on to the Downs above Brighton. Then continue round to Rodmell. Through the village and down the gravel track to Southease Youth Hostel for 11.00.
After a ride back to Lewes down the riverbank.
There’s a lot of climbing first thing but then it flattens off after Falmer.
Beginners welcome, as you won’t be dropped and the ride wont be too technical. (Route may change if conditions poor)
