Next Committee Meeting Club Night Our long tradition of holding club nights (at Cookesbridge) sadly came to an end with the February 2008 get together. If you fancy a natter with fellow Wanderers, some (mainly local) of us meet up once a month. See the club mag for reports. Next Pub Night Organised Clubruns Organised (Winter) Clubruns start every Sunday at 9am from Lewes Bus Station and outside the In Gear Cycle Shop in Uckfield. Organised (Spring & Summer) Clubruns start every Sunday at 8:30am from outside the In Gear Cycle Shop in Uckfield. Club Clothing Our club kit is available from Graham Jeffs Membership New members are always welcome. The most members that the club (probably) ever had was 142 back in 1994. Membership of the Lewes Wanderers costs just £15 per year. We produce a monthly magazine called 'The Wanderer' as well as this website. And we have our Forum, it allows you to communicate with the membership in real time and keep right up to date with all the Wanderers news. Sunday 26th September Circuit of Chailey 17.58 miles Evening Ten Series We run a series of Ten mile Time Trials on Monday (on Tuesday's when Monday's fall on a Bank Holiday) evenings, on the G10/87 course (fastest six rides to count). This year there are 12 events on the following dates: May: 4th (Tue) - 10th - 17th - 24th June: 1st (Tue) - 7th - 14th - 21st - 28th July: 5th - 12th - 19th Special (Optional) Tens:
7th June for our Fixed Wheel Ten 19th July will include our Athletes Ten (no TT bikes, Tri Bars, Aero Helmets) Two-Up Evening Ten A two-up team time trial will be run on Monday the 26th of July, on the same G10/87 evening ten course.
New rules for 2010 - please read The Evening Ten Series; Ten 2up & the Club Hill Climb are entered on the line i.e. turn up, sign on, pay £2 and ride. Completed CTT (Cycling Time Trials) entry forms (available as download below) are required for each of the four Club Circuit (Laughton, Danehill, Earwig & Chailey) events. Please also include the £2.00 entry fee (Cheques payable to LWCC). Entries must be completed fully & correctly (see article & example in No. 235 our February 2010 Magazine) and be with our Time Secretary at least 12 days before the event.
