We are delighted to have Andy Wilkinson and the other National 24-hour champions as our guests of honour and Andy has very kindly agreed to answer a few questions across the floor regarding his fantastic record breaking 24 hour ride this summer.
Full details of the ESCA award winners are also included, so please come and join us in celebration of their many successes too.
For those who wish to partake in such banter, I hope we will have time for a bit of cross-toasting – done well it can be extremely entertaining, but done badly can be a bit of a damp squib, so get your witty repartee ready. I will even distribute a guest list prior to the event, giving you chance to prepare! For the uninitiated, you bang the table with a suitable piece of cutlery, stand up and say ‘I would like to take wine with [name]’…and deliver a succinct account of their notable achievement or even better, a humorous mishap, during the season – to which, with any luck, the recipient has a droll retort!
With such illustrious guests, it’s likely to be popular, so please get your bookings in sooner rather than later. Full details are on the attached booking form, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Ann

To finish, it will be tea (or coffee) and cakes on the decking at Paul's place in Broad Oak.
