2005 Records - We had five new Club Records set in 2005. The Club present certificates for each new record.
  • Mark Winton for his 56m52s 25 mile Club Championship win on 24th April

  • Ian Landless for his new best plus by a veteran of +7m29s in the Bognor Regis 10 miles on 23rd June

  • Ruth Elliott for her fastest 25 by a women of 1h02m38s in the Sussex CA 25 on 4th September

  • Ruth Elliott for her fastest 30 by a women of 1h20m25s in the Lea Valley CC 30 on 25th September

  • Jim Cheek for his new Short Distance BAR Record of 27.387 mph average speed

The following were Best Performances on current courses (not recognised as official Club Records!)
  • Mark Winton for his 22m49s Newhaven Beddingham winning ride on 3rd April

  • Jim Cheek for his 44m51s Circuit of Danehill winning ride on 1st May

  • Jim Cheek for his 40m39s Circuit of Earwig winning ride on 30th June

  • Jim Cheek for his 41m13s Circuit of Chailey winning ride on 2nd October

Club Awards Dinner - Trophies, Plaques and Certificates were handed out at the Lewes Wanderers Cycling Club Annual Dinner and Awards Presentation on Saturday 18th February 2006 at Binghams Restaurant, Bell Walk, Uckfield.


Rules & more info - All Club BAR counting events must be on Sussex courses with the exception that any 12 hour can be used for the Senior BAR.

The Seymour Cup is for the fastest 25 on any course.

On club events with 1 to 7 entries, only the fastest rider and the first rider on handicap receive club medals. On events with 8 to 19 entries, the fastest two riders and the first two on handicap receive club medals. With 20 and over entries, the fastest three and the first three on handicap receive club medals. There is one Vets Standard award for each event. There is (currently) no award for the Evening Ten two-up.
